Neuropsychological Assessment

Neuropsychological assessment identifies changes in cognitive function, guides diagnosis, and helps in organizing personalized therapeutic programs.

Its goal is to enhance and restore cognitive functions, significantly contributing to the improvement of the individual’s overall quality of life.

What is Neuropsychological Assessment?

Neuropsychological assessment is a specialized process of evaluating brain function through the analysis of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral parameters, in order to identify difficulties that affect an individual’s functionality.

What are its Benefits?

The assessment can contribute to the diagnosis of neurological, developmental, or psychiatric disorders such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Learning Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Depression, Anxiety Disorder, and other difficulties that may affect an individual’s daily life.

Through the analysis of results, it becomes possible to design personalized therapeutic programs based on the specific needs of each individual, aiming at appropriate educational or professional guidance and improving the individual’s quality of life.

Additionally, the diagnosis contributes to improving the individual’s self-esteem and adaptability by providing them with the appropriate tools and support to face their challenges. With a well-designed intervention, social integration, educational progress, and enhancement of skills required for daily functionality are facilitated.

Who is it for?

It is aimed at children, adolescents, and adults who face difficulties in daily life or individuals diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders, learning difficulties, or neurological problems and need a clear picture of their cognitive functions.

What Methods and Tools Does it Use?

Through the use of standardized diagnostic tools-tests, basic cognitive functions such as memory, attention and concentration, logical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, reading, writing, comprehension, arithmetic, as well as social skills and emotional reactions are evaluated.

These tools (e.g., WISC-V, memory tests, attention tests) are designed to provide objective measurements of cognitive function and are used internationally in clinical practice.

Furthermore, the assessment is complemented by a detailed interview with the individual and, where necessary, with caregivers or family members, to form a comprehensive picture of the individual’s daily functionality.

How are the Sessions Conducted?

Neuropsychological assessment sessions are conducted in a calm and supportive environment, aiming to create an accurate and comprehensive picture of the individual’s cognitive functions. The assessment usually lasts from one to three hours, depending on the needs and nature of the difficulties being investigated.

After the completion of the tests, the results are analyzed, a detailed report is prepared with the findings, providing recommendations for further management of the difficulties.
