Dr Biniou was born in Thebes. She completed her studies with honors in the Department of Psychology at the University of Crete and specialized in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with the Health Science Center, University of Texas, USA.
She has worked at the General Hospital of Rethymno providing psychological support to children with mobility issues, as well as in Elementary Schools in Rethymno in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of learning disorders and attention disorders as part of undergraduate practical training.
In Athens, she worked at the Child Development and Education Center (N. Smyrni) training children with autism spectrum disorder through psychoeducational programs.
She also worked at KEKYKAMEA N. Viotia (Education, Support and Training Center for People with Disabilities) in Thebes providing psychological support to people with disabilities.
Dr Biniou did her practical training as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Aiginiteio Hospital in the Stroke Department, Epilepsy Department, as well as at Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital in the Child Psychiatry Department where she remained as an external scientific associate for 3 years.
In America, she worked on a scholarship at Texas Children’s Hospital (Houston) in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of childhood and adolescent disorders.
Dr Biniou has been trained:

She has attended seminars and conferences in Greece and America on neuropsychology, school psychology, counseling psychology, family therapy, and others related to counseling support for children and adults, diagnosis and rehabilitation of neurodevelopmental disorders, eating disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, grief management, divorce, couples counseling, parental counseling, etc.
She is a founding member of the Hellenic Neuropsychological Society (ENPE) and a member of the Hellenic Counseling Association (EES).
She has published articles, given interviews on television and radio, writes children’s books, presents at conferences, organizes and presents seminars, and has conducted research on children with learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, strokes, epilepsy, and olfactory disorders.
Dr Biniou has been working as a psychologist since 2006. She has maintained a private practice in Thebes since 2008 and in Glyfada since 2024. She diagnoses Neurodevelopmental Disorders in children and adolescents using standardized tools. She works therapeutically with adolescents, adults, and families. She works with schools, conducts parenting groups, adolescent groups and adult therapy groups.
She teaches Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology courses at SCG (Scientific College of Greece).
